Autumn Leaves
Create a botanical watercolor painting of fall leaves in this one-day workshop. The afternoon will start with a short discussion of botanical illustrations and the composition that makes them unique as pieces of art. Whether it be a single leaf or a grouping, the emphasis will be put on composition and watercolor techniques to complete an original painting. Leaves will be provided but students are also encouraged to bring their own. This workshop is suitable for all levels. All supplies are included.
The fee for the one-day, 3-hour workshop is $65 and the class is limited to 10 students.
*Students must be registered and paid in full three business days before the start of the class/workshop. Exceptions only with permission from the Director of Fine Art/Photography.

Leona’s love of botanical art stems from her combined interest in art, gardening and nature. She feels you are never without a subject if you observe the natural world around you. From a young age she has collected antique botanical bookplates and they continue to be an inspiration for her art. She has studied at the NY Botanical Gardens, the Peabody Museum and from many local award winning botanical artists in CT. and NJ.
