Pine Meadow Gardens are privately owned by Landscape Architect, Wesley Rouse and Dr. Robert McWilliams in Southbury. They have graciously offered Arts Escape Students the opportunity to paint and draw in their gardens until the end of the season.
This one-day workshop is designed as an introduction to Urban Sketching for all levels of artists. The workshops provide the student with a skill set and strategies designed to make the urban sketching experience enjoyable and productive.
Come paint in the garden ... evening edition.
Examples
Learn color mixing and how to capture the many shades of greens of the garden using watercolors. Enjoy capturing the cool colors of the morning light.
The fee for this workshop is $30 and limited to 10 students.
Students are required to bring their own supplies - watercolors, water supply, pens, pencils and sketchbook. Masks need to be worn during instruction.
Bring a hat, comfortable clothing, a folding chair/table.
