This class is for all levels of painters, especially the beginner student. Students will be working from various prompts each class and will work on a value study of the composition which will become the layout for their painting. Instruction will be given on the importance of light and shadow which creates interesting and emotional drama in their paintings.

In each class the instructor will explain the color mix and shift in the color mixes using a limited palette. There will be individual instruction at the easel during the class as well.

The fee for the six-week class is $295 without supplies or $340 with supplies. Supplies include paint, two canvases, and the use of brushes and palette knives. Class size is limited to 10 students. Please use the drop-down menu when registering.

COVID POLICY – Only fully vaccinated students will be permitted to attend classes. Physical proof of vaccination will be requested on the first day of class. (One time Only) Don’t forget to bring your vaccination card. *Masks are optional.

Anda Styler – Artist/ Instructor Anda lives in Sandy Hook, Connecticut and has been painting in oils and acrylics since she was 16. Acrylics, however, remain her favorite medium. Anda graduated from the Parson School of Design and has been devoted to her art ever since. She has many accomplishments in the art world, including interviews with both local and national publications, such as American Art Collector, Who’s Who in America,Country Gardeners Magazine, Victoria Magazine along with numerous awards and recognitions for her work as a painter.
Anda’s paintings and techniques are published in two books by North Light Publications. Her works are currently represented by several galleries in and around New England and to her credit, she has had many one-woman shows with great success. Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago is lucky to have four of her large paintings in their permanent collection.

Still Life

Each class the instructor will explain the color mix and shift in the color mixes using a limited pallet. There will be individual instruction at the easel during the class as well.

Students will be encouraged to paint on different size canvasses during the five-weeks.

The fee for the five-week class is $250 without supplies or $285 with supplies. Supplies include paint, two canvases, and the use of brushes and palette knives. Class size is limited to 10 students. Please use the drop-down menu when registering.
