America Today and Tomorrow: Where Do We Go From Here?

With the senior generation ending its domination of American society, what will happen as new politicians and different leaders replace us?  Will we evolve toward a new consensus or continue in conflict over what America represents?  These five lectures/discussions will consider the possibilities for both positive and negative changes in our politics, economics, and social and cultural institutions.

The series is for adults who are looking to engage in lively conversations about newsworthy issues. Politics, pop culture, and foreign affairs are all up for discussion in a friendly and open-minded environment. Each participant should be opened-minded and willing to learn and listen and will come away with myriad perspectives to consider as well as a better understanding of the world we live in. Handouts and at-home reading will be provided.

Dr. Alfred Hunt, who will moderate the discussion, is a retired Professor from SUNY Purchase. He has given lectures throughout New England for over 20 years. He is an author, has twice been a Fulbright scholar, and was a host of an award-winning cable TV Show.

The fee for the five-week series is $90. There is also a four-week option and a three-week option. Use the dropdown menu for these selections. A minimum of 10 participants is required, with a maximum of 20.
