This Is Not the America We Grew Up In.

America today is not the country that we grew up in. These seven lecture/discussions will consider the major changes in politics, economics, education, racial attitudes, the media and popular culture that are forming this “brave New World.”  Despite a traumatic pandemic that provided a lens through which to see our deepest divides, things may not be as bad as they might seem.

The fee for the six-week series is $120. Lecture is limited to 15 attendees.

***This series will be offered as a hybrid for those that are unable to attend in person. Please use the dropdown menu when registering. You must register by Thursday, November 4th to recieve the Zoom link.

Alfred Hunt, Professor Emeritus, SUNY, College at Purchase, is the author of Works on Slavery and Southern History. Twice a Fulbright Scholar, and an on-camera host for an award-winning cable show, he has been giving lectures in New York and Connecticut for over 15 years.
