
Seasonal Botanical Watercolor

Capture the late summer colors and shapes of simple seasonal flowers in this one-day workshop designed for beginners as well as students with more experience. With plenty of demos and step-by-step instruction students will practice basic watercolor techniques including mixing and layering wet washes of transparent color, drybrush and glazing. This class is for beginners and for those who have had some watercolor experience. The fee for the workshop is $150 which includes all supplies. Students are asked to bring their lunches as well.
Betsy received a Certificate in Botanical Illustration from the New York Botanical Garden in 2006 and has been illustrating plants ever since. Betsy’s work has been shown widely in the US and was exhibited in London at the Royal Horticultural Botanical Art Exhibition 2016 where she was awarded the prestigious Silver Gilt Award for her series of paintings titled The Life-cycle of the Milkweed and Monarch. Her work has been exhibited at the 11- 20th American Society of Botanical Artists Annual International Exhibitions in NYC. Registration is closed.
