Plein air painting is about leaving the four walls of the studio behind and experiencing painting and drawing in the landscape. The practice goes back for centuries but was truly made into an art form by the French Impressionists. This one-day workshop is for those students who would like to paint outdoors under the guidance of an instructor. Students will learn about composition, color, value and perspective during the class.

Students should arrive fifteen minutes early and meet in the parking lot of each venue. There will be a short demonstration on observation, composition and palette.

Supplies are: easel, paints (acrylic or oil) brushes, solvents, water, palettes, paper towels, sketching materials chair (optional) garbage bag, and hand sanitizerRestrooms will be available

Workshops are limited to 15 students and the fee for each workshop is $50. June 10th is an inclement weather make-up date.
