Bellamy-Ferriday House and Gardens

The Bellamy-Ferriday House and Garden is a historic house museum at 9 Main Street North in Bethlehem, Connecticut. Students will first sketch their subject with pencil while the instructor gives individual guidance on composition, perspective, values and accuracy. Then students will paint with guidance on process, color mixing, color intensity, brush strokes and capturing light and shadow with paint. This workshop is for the intermediate student with some watercolor experience.

Students should bring their own chair, art supplies, drink and lunch and arrive no later than 9:30. Instruction will begin promptly at 10 am with a short break for lunch. Restrooms will be available for students.

The fee for the one-day workshop is $50 and the workshop is limited to 12 students. Students will set up as a group in a single location for instruction.
