Oil Painting, One-Day Workshop – Alla Prima
Instructor, Rita Paradis
Saturday, February 8
10 am - 2:30 pm
Wet-on-wet, or alla prima (Italian, meaning at first attempt), direct painting is a painting technique in which layers of wet paint are applied to previously administered layers of wet paint. Fresh strokes of color! Alla Prima (or wet on wet) paintings are vibrant, lively and completed in one session. This is not a beginner painting class. Prior knowledge (in any painting medium) of brush work and color mixing is required. Bring a roll of paper towels, a box to transport your wet (8x10) painting home and a bag lunch. This is a great skill to add to your painting experiences. The class size is limited to 8 students and all supplies ( special boards, brushes and oil paint colors) are included. The fee for the one-day workshop is $145 which includes all supplies.
