Advance Silk Painting

This one-day workshop is for those students who have previously taken a silk painting class. Advance techniques will be demonstrated, and students will have the opportunity to work on their own piece(s) during the workshop. In class Students will work on a piece of silk, about 25 inches square. The instructor will finish the edges for each student during the workshop. Students will do a picture transfer and guta resist, while working with the real acid dyes. Students will learn about blending and adjusting and the instructor will go over the steaming process to make it permanent. There is the option to work on a silk scarf adding more detail than what students did in the beginning class as well. The fee for the workshop is $75 which includes all supplies. Class is limited to 5 students.
