Storing, cataloguing, developing and sharing your photos with Adobe Lightroom

Do you wonder what to do with your photos after you have them in camera?  Do you struggle with finding and cataloguing the photos you have in your computer?  Do you want to change the exposure of your photos and edit them so they look the way you saw them while shooting?   How about changing the sizes of your photos for outputting to various sources such as photo contests, Facebook, emails, web use and printing?  If you answered yes to any of these questions then this workshop series is for you. 

Lightroom is a fantastic and powerful photography software because it has the ability to do it all- everything you need to accomplish in your photographic workflow. Cataloguing Photos, Developing, Printing, Outputting  and  Resizing as well as making photo books, slideshows and much more.  This all-in-one program comes at a very affordable price and is very user friendly. 

Course 1:  Lightroom’s Library module 

In this first workshop you will learn how to take your photos from your camera to the computer including how to create folders to help store and retrieve your photos.  You will learn how to use keywords and rating systems to help locate and use your favorite photos. 

Course 2:  Lightroom’s Library module pt2 and Intro to the develop Module  

This class will focus on the power of collections including smart collections to organize your photos. 

The second part of the class will focus on using presets and profiles to edit your photos as well as an overview of the develop module and the histogram function and basic editing controls.

Course 3:  Lightroom’s Develop module.

In this workshop the instructor will demonstrate how to maximize your photo’s potential with the many development options in Lightroom including exposure, white balance, saturation hues and color balance. In this class students will learn how to add vignettes to their photos and cropping.  Students will also learn how to use the adjustment brush and graduated neutral density filter to make local adjustments on specific areas of your image.

Course 4:  Printing, exporting resizing and outputting

In this course the instructor will teach the various options and methods for outputting and resizing your photos for specific use such as: contests, web use and social media, emails, and finally using the print module in Lightroom to make your prints come out how they look on the screen.    


The fee for this class $100 and the class is limited to 6 students.
Students must register by Tuesday, February 2nd to receive the Zoom link.
