Acrylic Painting Class – Mundane to Exciting
Instructor, Anda Styler
Friday, August 7, 14, 21, & 28
10 am - 12 noon
This class is for students who want to learn how to push their paintings past representational and make them exciting. Students may bring in a plain, uninteresting photo with some kind of good composition to use. Anda will also have photo references available for students to work from as well.
Your photo should show no real hope of being a great painting - but have some promise that we would bring out into a a great painting. Students could also substitute a painting they feel unresolved with and using acetate we can create something new and exciting.
"The goal of this class to take a mundane photo to a higher level by introducing light - shadow - and real creativity - eliminating some things that may not work - but basically following it and creating something exciting ….its a great way to grow as an artist." Anda Styler
Students will also be working from a limited palette.

The fee for the four-week class is $130.00
Class is limited to 6 students. All students will be required to abide by the the CT state guidelines for small group gatherings. Those guidelines will be sent to each student prior to the first class.
**Our top priority is the safety of our students, instructors & staff. Please note: classes may be cancelled if we feel it is not safe, and your tuition will be refunded.
